Where it begins
A craft carried through generations
There is a particular kind of magic that lives in a kaftan. It is in the weight of the fabric as it falls, in the shimmer of hand-stitched sfifa along the hem, in the hours — sometimes days — a skilled artisan in Fes or Marrakech gives to a single piece. We started Noura Kaftan because we never wanted to lose that magic.
Our name, Noura (نورة), means light in Arabic. It is what a kaftan does to the woman who wears it — it illuminates her. That belief is at the heart of everything we do.
